One of my favorite local concert venues which I seldom go to because it's one hour away. It's in Ann Arbor. Thus Ann Arbor is an hour away. I forget what kind of reasoning that is. Other than simple.

Jeff Wozer
Consistently funny and bright stand-up comedian who lives in the mountains, or at least a more mountainous area than that of Detroit. Met each other while taking improv classes in Chicago in the early 90s.

Nik Fackler
Director and painter. I'd like his paintings in my home.

Screaming Frog Productions
Theater, improv, and film company based in L.A. by way of Chicago, or vice versa. Either way, great stuff.

Detroit Institute of the Arts
I've only been there twice, and once was for a movie, but I'll be back.

Charles Fleischer
One of the funniest and most impressive stand-up comedians I've seen perform live. His entire act was improvised around the first two rows of patrons. Not knowing this, I sat in one of the first two rows. Insane genius in a very good way. He also likes math.
